LJUBLJANA MBA Alumni club: Building a Stronger Network for Lasting Impact
14. November, 2025LJUBLJANA MBA Alumni conference 2025: RETHINK. CONNECT. LEAD.
The LJUBLJANA MBA Alumni Conference 2025, held at the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, brought together alumni, business leaders, and faculty for a day of insight, reflection, and collaboration.
This year’s event highlighted the evolution of the LJUBLJANA MBA Alumni Club into a structured, alumni-led professional network and celebrated the growing influence of the school’s executive education community on the wider business ecosystem.

Alumni to Alumni: Best Cases
The conference opened with the words, “You are the story, not the slides, not the venue,” setting the tone for a program built around alumni experiences and practical leadership lessons.
As we approach the 15th anniversary of the MBA program, alumni gathered to share cases from energy, technology, finance, and family business, illustrating how the program’s values of evidence-based decision-making, collaboration, and responsible leadership continue to shape real organizations.
- Lek: Building an ecosystem with global potential — Dunja Zorman shared how Lek is leveraging innovation partnerships to scale impact across industries.
- Acies Bio: Platforms over products — Martin Kavšček explored how platform thinking reshapes biotech strategy and collaboration.
- BPT: Competing in the energy transition — Sabina Gros highlighted how bold leadership decisions can turn sustainability into a competitive advantage.
- Dental Centre Diamant: Selling to a private fund: Strategic opportunity or risky exit? — Jure Robič offered a candid look into growth, ownership, and timing in entrepreneurial decision-making.
These cases sparked meaningful conversations about the future of leadership and the real-world impact of the LJUBLJANA MBA network in the business community.
Adam Grant: A Masterclass with Our Alumni
The centerpiece of the day was an extraordinary masterclass with Adam Grant, one of the world’s most influential thinkers on work and leadership, and a New York Times bestselling author of Think Again, Originals, and Give and Take.
His stories and research from organizations around the world gave alumni practical frameworks for leading with trust, agility, and purpose, principles that mirror the core values of the LJUBLJANA MBA program.
As one participant put it afterward, “It wasn’t just a lecture. It was a mirror. It made us think about how we lead and how we could lead better.”
The LJUBLJANA MBA Alumni Conference 2025 confirmed that leadership is not only taught, it is practiced and shared. The cooperation between the school, its alumni, and industry partners continues to prove that learning, when paired with community, becomes a force for lasting impact.
