What inspired you to pursue an MBA?
After changing my career, I wanted to continue learning, become a better leader, and expand my network. The MBA felt like the right next step to challenge myself, deepen my understanding of business, and open new opportunities.
How has earning an MBA transformed your career and personal growth, and what advice would you give to other women considering this path?
Earning an MBA has given me more confidence, practical knowledge, and, most importantly, stronger people skills. I’ve learned how to better understand my coworkers, navigate challenges, and find solutions that benefit everyone. It has helped me become a better leader, but also a better problem solver—someone who can step back, recognize different perspectives, and look for win-win outcomes.
On a personal level, I now feel much more equipped to assess situations from multiple angles and anticipate possible outcomes. I also gained a solid foundation in various business areas, from operations to finance, which has been incredibly valuable. And beyond the learning, I had a lot of fun along the way!
One of the biggest lessons I took from this experience was time management. When I started my MBA, I had very young children, and balancing everything was a challenge. However, with proper organization and support from loved ones, I managed—and I truly believe that anyone can. My advice to other women considering this path: go for it! It will challenge you, change you, and make you stronger.
What key lessons or experiences from your MBA journey do you believe can empower more women to step into leadership roles?
One of the most empowering aspects of the MBA experience was meeting peers who were facing similar challenges. Seeing that others were in the same boat, learning from their experiences, and exchanging insights was invaluable.
Additionally, an MBA helps build the confidence that many women need to even apply for leadership roles. Often, we hesitate or feel we’re not ready, but the MBA experience shows you that you can do it. It provides both the knowledge and the confidence to take that step.
Can you share a moment during your MBA journey that was particularly transformative or empowering for you as a woman in business?
It’s difficult to pinpoint a single moment, but looking back, the most transformative part was the people I met. The network of incredible individuals I connected with has been invaluable. Knowing that I have a group of peers I can reach out to whenever I face a challenge is incredibly empowering. That sense of community and support makes all the difference.
