With LJUBLJANA MBA behind you, has the journey been worth it?
Yes, absolutely. The program gave me new perspectives on leadership, strategy, and business dynamics. It provided me with the theoretical background of different disciplines from the fields of economy and business, perfectly complimenting my engineering background. Beyond the coursework, the real value came from the in-class discussions with professors, classmates and guest speakers. As one of the younger participants, the advice and examples from real-life business situations shared by more experienced classmates have been invaluable. Lastly, the variety in professional backgrounds among classmates allowed me to escape my engineering “bubble”, further enabling me to gain new perspectives.
What was your LJUBLJANA MBA highlight?
In terms of education my highlight was the mix of practical learning and real-world application. The case studies, group projects, and discussions with experienced professionals made the learning experience dynamic and relevant. Thus I was able to immediately implement some of the newly learned methods in my everyday professional setting. Beyond that, a further highlight was the Dublin trip with my classmates—sharing experiences outside the classroom, exchanging ideas, and learning from each other made the journey even more valuable.
What will be your professional and personal path after graduating from LJUBLJANA MBA?
By recently earning an engineering PhD in addition to the MBA, my goal is to bridge the gap between technical expertise and strategic decision-making. The MBA has given me the business acumen to complement my technical knowledge, allowing me to take on leadership roles that drive innovation and sustainable solutions. Sustainability and renewable energy is a key focus of my work, and I want to apply my skills to projects that prioritize long-term environmental and social impact alongside business success.
